At Discover Fly Fishing, we believe fly fishing should be approachable, enjoyable, and an adventure worth sharing. Whether you're making your first cast or ready to take your skills to the next level, we're here to help you confidently discover more of what fly fishing has to offer.Kenneth Davis, owner of Discover Fly Fishing, is a Mount Juliet native who first learned to fly fish at age six. His love for the sport grew from fishing local waters like Cedar Creek, the Caney Fork, and the Harpeth River to exploring the streams of the Great Smoky Mountains and the waters of Glacier National Park. Those early experiences continue to shape his belief that some of the best parts of fly fishing are discovering new water and sharing the experience with others.Kenneth specializes in beginner and intermediate fly-casting lessons, fly-tying instruction, and professionally guided fishing trips. We also offer clients free gear consultations to help you choose the right equipment without the guesswork.Kenneth is a licensed fishing guide in the State of Tennessee and a certified Wilderness First Responder, bringing experience, preparation, and a passion for teaching to every lesson and adventure.Ready to discover fly fishing? FLY CASTING LESSONS

$100/hour — 2-hour minimumWe come to you. Individual, family, and group instruction is available for up to 10 participants. Kids ages 6 and up are welcome.Kenneth has years of experience teaching and working with adolescents. Instruction is patient, practical, and adjusted to each person's experience level.Travel within 15 miles of Mount Juliet is included. Additional travel expenses may apply beyond 15 miles.

FLY TYING INSTRUCTION

$100/hour — 2-hour minimumIndividual and small-group instruction is available for up to 3 participants. Kids ages 12 and up are welcome.All tools and materials are provided. No vise, tools, or previous tying experience needed.

Deposits & Weather

A 50% deposit is required to reserve your date. Deposits are 100% refundable with more than 24 hours' notice. With less than 24 hours' notice, your deposit is nonrefundable but 100% transferable to another Discover Fly Fishing service.Fishing depends on the weather and water. If conditions make your scheduled service unsafe or unreasonable, we'll work with you to reschedule. Weather and water-related rain checks are fully transferable to a future Discover Fly Fishing service.
